Revenue Sharing
How eXp shares its company dollar with the agents who help it grow, and what that realistically looks like.
What revenue share is
When an agent you sponsor closes a deal, part of eXp's company dollar from that deal is shared with you. It never comes out of the other agent's commission. RevShare always comes out of the company dollar.
The split and the cap
Agents start on an 80/20 split. Once you've paid $16,000 in company dollar in your anniversary year, you've capped and keep 100% of your commission for the rest of that year. Transaction fees still apply.
How the seven tiers unlock
Tiers 1, 2 and 3 are open from day one. Tiers 4, 5 and 6 open at 5, 10 and 15 front-line qualifying agents, and Tier 7 opens at 30. Capping credits you with 10 qualifying agents for 13 months, and ICON status credits you with 30.
What counts as a qualifying agent
An agent you personally sponsored who generates at least $5,000 in gross commission income from qualifying transactions within a rolling six-month period. Agents who aren't producing don't count toward unlocking tiers.
The honest numbers
Most agents earn little or no revenue share. eXp reports the median Tier 1 revenue share is $0. The calculator is a hypothetical, not a forecast.
